Book Karoon hotel

Karoon Hotel is one of the oldest hotels, located in the centre of Tehran. It was established in 1975 and has undergone several renovations since then. The last renovation was carried out in 2022. The name of the hotel was inspired by the Karun river, the longest river in Iran.

Shahr Theatre, Iran’s largest theatre complex, is a short 11-minute drive from the hotel.

Just 3.5 km south, you’ll find the Marble Palace, the former royal residence of Shah Pahlavi in the 1940s. The palace is surrounded by a garden. The surface of the palace is made of white marble. Next to the entrance you can see two statues of Achaemenid soldiers holding arrows. The interior of the palace is formal, with carved doors and high ceilings.
