The Khulat-Poshan Tower is a historical monument from the Safavid period located in the city of Tabriz. It is situated south of the Karakaj neighborhood, approximately 5 kilometers from the city center, next to the Mehraneh-Rud River. The site has been allocated to the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Tabriz for scientific research.
The base of the tower is a hexagon with a diameter of 9.5 meters. The tower consists of three floors. The first floor features a domed roof, while the roof of the second floor has collapsed and has since been replaced with iron beams. The third floor is open and has no roof.
The Tower of the Robes is located in a lush valley along the left side of the Tabriz-Basmanj road. It was dedicated to government officials during the early Qajar period. Over time, this location became a center where Qajar crown princes presented robes, status, insignia, and gifts to government servants.
The last ceremony of the Khulat-Poshan took place in 1330 AH during the reign of Samad Khan Maraghe.
